Good Day San Pedro! This week’s “Tasting Thursday” menu gives a nod to rustic Italy with dishes inspired from my Aunt Josephine’s kitchen. Chef Val and his team have prepared a 5-course chef’s tasting menu using local ingredients, hand made pasta and flavorful combinations to tantalize your taste buds for a down home comfort Italian meal.
This week’s Tasting Thursday” menu is ……..
First Course – Spinach & Artichoke Flat Bread – Grilled flat bread topped with marinated artichokes, spinach & prosciutto with a drizzle of garlic oil, fresh basil & finished with a spiced honey
Second Course – Portobello Caprese – Oven roasted Portobello mushrooms stuffed with fresh mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes, basil & a balsamic reduction
Third Course – Minestrone Soup – A traditional Italian kitchen sink soup made with chicken stock, kidney beans, celery, carrots, tomatoes, elbow macaroni, cabbage & fresh herbs topped, with Parmesan cheese
Fourth Course – Shrimp & Pasta – Housemade sweet pepper fettuccini pasta tossed with olive oil, garlic sauteed shrimp & piquillo peppers, topped with Parmesan & anchovy fillet
Fifth Course – Biscotti & Cream – Housemade almond & chocolate biscotti served with our own coffee & Kahlua ice cream
