Good Day San Pedro! Well, it is that time of the year again when we wind down, refresh and ramp up for the 2017 – 2018 season at Casa Picasso. This Thursday will be our last “Tasting Thursday” for this season and Chef Val and his team have prepared some of their favorites for this week’s “Tasting Thursday” 5-course chef’s tasting menu. This week’s :Tasting Thursday” menu is……
First Course - Mediterranean Lamb and Fig Cigars - Rolled phyllo dough stuffed with ground local lamb seasoned with shallots, cinnamon, oregano, rosemary, cumin & diced sweet figs, baked & served with a sweet and tangy plum sauce
Second Course – Tempura Asparagus – Tempura battered & fried asparagus served with a sweet & spicy sriracha aioli
Third Course - Shrimp & Grits – Creamy cheddar grits topped with shrimp sautéed in spicy Cajun mix with celery, onions, garlic & bell peppers
Fourth Course – Beef Wellington Bites – Traditional beef wellington served in bite size portions made with local beef tenderloin & a rich mushroom duxelle baked in puff pastry, served with a horseradish cream sauce
Fifth Course – Choco Tacos – Housemade savory vanilla taco shells filled with our own vanilla ice cream, coated in chocolate & topped with ground toasted cashews & peanuts
