Tasting Thursday – March 16th – Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day

Top of the Day to you from Casa Picasso. Did you know that this Friday is St. Patrick’s Day? Did you know that Jackie is Irish with family hailing from Roscommon and loves St. Patrick’s Day? Well she does and we do too at The Casa. In honor of St Patrick’s Day, Casa Picasso‘s “Tasting Thursday” menu will reflect our love for everything Irish. Our 5-course chef’s menu features some of Ireland’s best with our Belizean twists.

First CourseSalmon & SodaHousemade Irish soda bread crostini, topped with a herbed housemade Boursin cheese & house cured dilled salmon, topped with a dollop of a dill & sweet pea puree 

Second CoursePotato & Spring Onion SoupA creamy potato & local spring onion soup using fresh chicken stock, topped with creme fraiche, served warm

Third CourseBacon & Cabbage Pie - Individual pies made with local thick cut bacon, cabbage, blue cheese & apples baked in puff pastry

Fourth CourseGuinness Beef Irish StewA traditional Irish stew using beef tenderloin braised in Guinness beer with carrots, potatoes, root vegetables & peas in a thick malty gravy

Fifth CourseIrish Cream Creme BruleeA lovely creme brulee using Bailey’s Irish Cream, vanilla beans, topped with toasted raw sugar 

 

Cost for this week’s St. Patrick’s Day, “Tasting Thursday” menu is $75BZ/$37.50US.

As always, our regular menu will be available as well as our optional wine pairings with the first 4-courses and an optional Jameson’s Irish Coffee with dessert.
