Good Day San Pedro! The Casa is open tonight. Chef Val and his team have a delicious entree special for tonight plus we are preparing for our weekly “Tasting Thursday” 5-course Chef’s tasting menu for tomorrow.
Tonight’s Entree special is fresh hog fish, marinated in brown sugar, fish sauce, sambal chilies, garlic and soy, grilled and served over a wasabi mashed potatoes accompanied by broccoli sauteed in butter with a hint of garlic.
This week’s “Tasting Thursday” menu is …….
First Course – Baked Brie en Croute – Savory Brie cheese layered with a housemade tamarind, ginger & fig jam baked in puff pastry, served warm
Second Course – Cauliflower & Leek Soup - A rich soup made with sauteed leeks, cauliflower, butter, cream & chicken stock, pureed & served warm
Third Course – Bean & Tomato Salad - A warm salad of green beans, tomatoes, peas & caramelized shallots, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, lemon & garlic dressing, topped with Serrano ham
Fourth Course – Lemon Snapper – Fresh snapper filet pan seared with crispy skin in a lemon champagne, beurre blanc sauce, topped with sauteed asparagus
Fifth Course – Apple Turnovers – Fresh granny smith apples with cinnamon, nutmeg & vanilla bean, baked in flaky pastry dough & drizzled with a lemon & cream cheese icing
As always, our regular menu will be available as well as our optional wine pairings with the first 4-courses.
